John Rinaldo

Although largely self-taught, artist John Rinaldo studied art at SUNY Farmingdale and The Stevenson Academy of Art. He specializes in horse and dog portraits, and when not working on a commission, paints his subjects for sale and for his own enjoyment.

John worked for more than thirty years in the exhibits and conservation departments of the Nassau County Museums. There, he painted murals for exhibitions as well as doing conservation and restoration work in the museum collection and the "Gold Coast" mansions operated by Nassau County.

His portraits are painted in oil from photos taken by himself or in some cases supplied by the customer. Prices are dependent on variables such as  background, size, number of subjects, etc.
